We’ve got some very exciting news to share… Herdy is heading into the world of children’s books!

Herdy has secured a global publishing deal with leading international illustrated book publisher Quarto – a huge milestone in our journey and one of the biggest moments in Herdy’s history. For a brand that began life in the Lake District nearly 20 years ago, seeing Herdy on bookstore shelves around the world is something we’re incredibly proud to celebrate.

From 4th September, our first collection of Herdy books will be available in bookshops worldwide, and you can pre-order them now from Herdy and leading booksellers.

Created especially for little readers: 

• Goodnight, Herdy – a cosy felt-flap bedtime adventure
• Herdy’s Fun Day – a playful felt-flap board book packed with fun
• Out and About with Herdy – an activity-filled sticker book for curious little explorers

For nearly 20 years, Herdy has been bringing smiles through gifts, accessories and homeware inspired by the Lake District and its famous Herdwick sheep. Now, we’re delighted to bring our cheeky little character to life in a whole new way.

Inspired by the real Herdwick sheep that roam the Lakeland fells, Herdy is adventurous, playful and full of curiosity. Whether exploring the hills, playing with friends or setting off on a new adventure, he’s always ready to discover something new.

The book launch is the result of two years of collaboration with the talented team at Tall House Creative Agency and our publishing partner Happy Yak, an imprint of Quarto.

At Herdy, we’ve always believed in spreading joy and celebrating the place that inspired us. The Lake District has produced some of Britain’s most beloved literary characters, and we’re proud that Herdy is taking his next step on that journey.
