Enjoy a great night’s sleep snuggled under a Herdysleep wool duvet.

Handmade in Britain using specially selected 100% British wool, each Herdysleep duvet is encased in a high quality 100% organic cotton fabric, stitched through with a zig zag detail to keep the wool filling in position.

Herdysleep duvets contain our specially developed Wonderwool™, produced by a unique process to create a multi layered wool pad with a luxurious loft. This process also involves double scouring or cleaning the fibre which removes the woolly smell often associated with other wool bedding.

About TOG: By definition, TOG is the measurement of thermal efficiency plus moisture release and was devised primarily for synthetic and feather product rather than wool. The key difference with wool is its thermal efficiency is far more consistent than other fills.

More about Wool: Wool is a sustainable natural fibre with excellent temperature regulating properties. Most duvets are filled with feathers, down or synthetic materials, but wool has been proven to be more effective at keeping you warm in the cooler months, or cool in the warmer months. This is because of its thermal efficiency and ability to wick away moisture. In fact wool bedding helps regulate your body temperature by creating a ‘personal microclimate’, releasing the moisture you produce while sleeping, to keep you dry and comfortable throughout the night.

As well as being naturally flame-resistant wool is also hypoallergenic, antibacterial and naturally dust mite resistant, making it the perfect choice for allergy sufferers.

Care for your Duvet

Air outdoors at regular intervals to freshen. Dry clean only.

We recommend using a green, eco method of dry cleaning for your Herdysleep wool bedding. This uses liquid silicone, known as decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5) rather than Perchloroethylene (perc), traditionally used by most dry cleaners.

D5 is a clear, odourless and non-toxic silicone based solvent (siloxane) considered to be both non-toxic and non-hazardous. D5 has long been used in the cosmetics industry in deodorants, sunscreen, hairsprays and skin care products. It is an excellent carrier for detergents, has ideal properties for fabric care and is better for the environment. According to GreenEarth, D5 is completely safe and biodegradable, it simply degrades into sand (SiO2), water and carbon dioxide, leaving no toxic residue if released into the atmosphere, making it safe for air, water and soil.
