Historic graphite mining in the Lake District inspired the striking monochrome design on this fine bone china mug, featuring Herdy amidst the beautiful Cumbrian Fells.

Did ewe know?
Graphite has been mined in Cumbria since the 16th century, with Borrowdale producing the purest deposits ever discovered. For generations, this precious graphite was used to mark sheep, most likely Herdwicks, although probably best known now for its use in the world’s finest pencils. Now, both heritage and Herdy come together in this ewe-nique design.
